SJHL Forward of the week Winner: Jordie Johnston, La Ronge Ice Wolves Highlights: Johnston is red hot during the month of November as this is the second time he has won this award. Johnston had 4-goals and 2-assists in 3-games played during the last week and all three games were La Ronge victories. For the season, Johnston is third in the SJHL scoring race thanks to a month in which he has scored 12-goals and 9-assists in just 11-games. Runners-up: Jarrid Dowhay & Adam Moar, La Ronge; Dustyn Clegg, Flin Flon; Travis Janke, Notre Dame. SJHL Defenceman of the week Winner: Connor Krukowski, Weyburn Red Wings Highlights: Krukowski is not flashy and on most nights he will not be a player who is talked about that brings fans out of their seats. However, he plays a solid defense and this week added a goal and two assists in three games to the Red Wing cause. The Red Wings had a tough schedule this past week, but they kept the goals against down and also managed to come away with points in all three games they played. Runners-up: Russell Nielsen, Humboldt; Tanner Vandesype, Notre Dame; Tyler Karst and Ken Neufeld, La Ronge. SJHL Goaltender of the week Winner: Matt Weninger, Kindersley Klippers Highlights: Perhaps the easiest selection for this award ever as Weninger shutout the Yorkton Terriers twice in a row and enters the week with what is believed to be an SJHL regular season record shutout streak of 195:41. Prior to the days of on-line real-time scoring, this was not a record that was kept as an official mark. On the season, Weninger leads the league with a 1.36-GAA and .962-SPCT. Runners-up: Ilia Ejov, Melfort; Calvin Bartel, Flin Flon; Joel Danyluk, Yorkton; Adrian Lemay, Battlefords.
