Player of the week Kyle Ireland, Notre Dame Hounds 1989 F Kyle Ireland (Rosetown SK) is on a hot streak, with points in eight straight games going into the week. Ireland had three goals and five assists in four games played during the week of November 10-15. For the season, he has 10 goals and nine assists in 20 games played. Runners-up: Jordan Braid, Kindersley; Matthew Spafford, Nipawin; Taylor Duzan, Kindersley. Defenseman of the week Scott Brkich, Nipawin Hawks 1990 D Scott Brkich (High River AB) was acquired from the Flin Flon Bombers last month in a deal that sent Mike Rey the other direction; and Brkich has used his opportunity extremely well as he had four assists in three games played last week and now has seven points in seven games since joining the Hawks. For the season, Brkich has one goal and 14 assists in 22 games. Runners-up: Austin Bourhis, Yorkton; Blayne Stevenson, Notre Dame; Taylor Thiessen, Nipawin. Goaltender of the week Chris Neamonitis, Estevan Bruins 1989 G Chris Neamonitis (Kirkland QC) only won one of three starts last week, but he did more than his share in trying to get the Bruins into the win column in all three games played as he posted a 1.67-GAA and a .949-SPCT. Neamonitis was recently acquired from the AJHL. He hasn't given up more than two goals in any of his five starts this year. Runners-up: AJ Whiffen, Weyburn; Andrew Bodnarchuk, Humboldt; Luke Boechler, Yorkton; Tanner Erickson, Weyburn.
