Player of the week Gary Childerhose, Melfort Mustangs 1989 F Gary Childerhose (Altona MB) helped the Mustangs to a pair of victories on the weekend, scoring two goals and five assists in two contests. For the season, Childerhose has 27 points in 32 games as he takes on an added offensive role down the stretch. Runners-up: Travis Janke, Notre Dame; Aaron DeCorby, La Ronge; Ryan Griffiths, Yorkton. Defenseman of the week Harrison Tribble, Melfort Mustangs 1989 D Harrison Tribble (Carstairs AB) had four assists in two games played over the weekend, both were Mustang wins. He also participated in the SJHL All-Star Festival on Thursday in Lanigan. Tribble, who's offensive game has blossomed, now has seven goals and 21 assists in 36 games. Goaltender of the week Ryan Kerpan, Nipawin Hawks 1989 G Ryan Kerpan (Saskatoon SK) foiled the Weyburn Red Wings with a 52 save shutout in his only start of the week. That improved his overall record to 12-9-3-and-1, 3.10, .919. Runners-up: Josh Thorimbert, Kindersley; Andrew Bodnarchuk, Humboldt; Luke Boechler, Yorkton.
