SJHL Player of the Week Trevor Cameron, Notre Dame Hounds 1992 F Trevor Cameron (Mission BC) exploded last week with three goals and five assists in three games played to lead all SJHL point getters over the last seven days. Cameron had a goal and two assists against Yorkton on Wednesday; a goal and two assists against Humboldt on Friday, and one goal and one assist in a neutral site game versus Kindersley on Sunday. All three games were Notre Dame victories. For the season, the rookie has six goals and 12 assists in 14 games. Runners-up: Deven Stillar, Melfort; Andy Smith, Notre Dame; Josh Daley, Battlefords. SJHL Defenseman of the Week Jesse Lebreton, Battlefords North Stars 1989 D Jesse Lebreton (Mont Laurier QC) collected two goals and two assists over the past seven days as the North Stars continue to challenge for first place in the Bauer Conference. Lebreton is part of a defense pairing with Cody Folstad that has been one of the better all around pairings in the league through the first half of the season. Overall, Lebreton's point production is up to five goals and eight assists in 21 games. Runners-up: Taylor Thiessen, Nipawin; Cody Folstad, Battlefords; Mike Alexander, La Ronge. SJHL Goaltender of the Week Matt Weninger, Flin Flon Bombers For the second straight week, the SJHL Goaltender Of The Week is 1989 G Matt Weninger (Lethbridge AB) of the Flin Flon Bombers. Weninger was 2-and-0 with a 0.50-GAA and a .986-SPCT. Weninger is now 4-and-0 with a 0.75-GAA and a .976-GAA in the last two weeks. Overall, he has a 2.35-GAA and a .926-SPCT to go with his 8-3-and-1 record. Runners-up: Brady Wilyman, Melville; Ryan Kerpan, Nipawin; Joel Danyluk, Yorkton; Russell Abbott, Notre Dame.
