Player of the Week Winner: Kyle Ireland, Notre Dame Hounds 1989 F Kyle Ireland (Rosetown SK) fired six goals and four assists in four games played last week, all of them Hound victories. His biggest output came on Saturday against the Bauer Conference leading Flin Flon Bombers, when he scored three times and set up another. For the season, Ireland ranks third in the league in points with 25 goals and 30 assists in 46 games. Defenseman of the Week Winner: Jesse Lebreton, Battlefords North Stars 1989 D Jesse Lebreton (Mt Laurier QC) had one goal and four assists in three games played last week and has been an important cog in the wheel for a Stars team that has gone 6-and-1 in their last seven overall. Lebreton has upped his point total to 28 (11 goals, 17 assists) in 45 games on the season. Runners-up: Carson Grolla, Notre Dame; Michael Young, Flin Flon; Mike Alexander, La Ronge Goaltender of the Week Winner: Russell Abbott, Notre Dame Hounds 1991 G Russell Abbott (Nanaimo BC) backstopped the Hounds to three of their four wins last week. In the three victories, Abbott kicked out 76-of-82 shots and had a tidy 2.00-GAA to go with his SPCT of .927. For the season, Abbott is 15-and-6, 2.81, .906.
