SJHL defenseman of the month Winner:Ê Tommy Brown, Melfort Mustangs Highlights:Ê The 1989 rookie defenseman makes it two straight months a Melfort blueliner has won this nod (Riley Clark did in November).Ê Brown racked up 11-assists in 9-games played and also had a point scoring streak of 7-games from December 2-29.Ê His biggest output came December 14th against Yorkton when he set up three of his teamÕs goals. Runners-up:Ê Jordan Reeve, Melville; Myles Masse, Flin Flon; Tanner Vandesype, Humboldt; Riley Hughes, Estevan. SJHL goaltender of the month Winner:Ê Taylor Nelson, Humboldt Broncos Highlights:Ê Nelson, a 1988 born native of Regina SK, is headed to Ferris State next Fall to play in the NCAA, but he continues to set the SJHL world afire in the meantime.Ê Nelson went 7-1 during the month of December, with a 2.48-GAA and a .912-SPCT.Ê Nelson has been so good that his monthly GAA and SPCT totals are actually lower than his overall regular season numbers of 1.99 and .922. Runners-up:Ê Ryan Nieszner, Kindersley; Calvin Bartel, Flin Flon; Ilia Ejov, Melfort; Derek Kleinsteuber, Nipawin.
