SJHL Forward of the Month Winner:Ê Torrie Dyck, Nipawin Hawks Highlights:Ê Dyck finished the regular season with eight points in eight games, but he has earned this nod with his dominating effort in the Itech Conference Elimination Series that has seen him rack up nine points in four games, including five goals and four assists.Ê Of his five playoff goals so far, Dyck has one game winner, which came in overtime of game four.Ê He has had two multiple goal games in the playoffs and three multiple point games. Runners-up:Ê Josh Bray, Weyburn Red Wings; Daniel Hope, Melville Millionaires, Reid MacLeod, Flin Flon Bombers; Bryan Hull, Yorkton Terriers. SJHL Defenseman of the Month Winner:Ê Brady Wacker, Humboldt Broncos Highlights:Ê The Broncos have had a smooth sailing regular season and they have many players on their roster to thank for that as several has stepped up at different points in the season.Ê During the month of February, Wacker re-emerged on defense with two goals and four assists in his final seven regular season games.Ê He also picked up a goal and an assist in the first Itech Conference Selection Series game that he played against the Flin Flon Bombers.Ê Wacker is part of a star studded cast on the back end in Humboldt and during the month of February, it was his turn to shine. Runners-up:Ê Taylor Thiessen, Nipawin Hawks; Jordan Pawelec, Yorkton Terriers; Myles Masse, Nipawin Hawks; Tyler Karst, La Ronge Ice Wolves. SJHL Goaltender of the Month Winner:Ê Taylor Nelson, Humboldt Broncos Highlights:Ê Nelson has been tremendous all season and it is starting to get difficult to determine an ÔaverageÕ month as compared to a standout month for him as sometimes even the ÔaverageÕ stretches work out to something much better for others at the position. ÊBut, Nelson was fabulous anyway you cut it in February.Ê He finished the regular season with four straight wins in the month, a .961 SPCT, a 1.00 GAA, and one shutout.Ê He upped that in the playoffs by going two and 0, 0.50, .983 in the two Selection Series home games against Flin Flon and Melfort. Runners-up:Ê Derek Kleinsteuber, Nipawin Hawks; Joe Rodwell, Melville Millionaires; Carsen Chubak, Flin Flon Bombers; Ilia Ejov, Melfort Mustangs.
