Player of the Week Winner: Scott Doucet, Estevan Bruins 1988 F Scott Doucet (Qualicum Beach BC) played a big role in Friday night's 14-0 bashing of the Melville Millionaires as he scored two goals and had five assists to put the caps on a nine point week. For the season, Doucet has 15 goals and 23 assists in 31 games. His value is underscored in the fact the Bruins are 7-9-1-1 when he's not in the line-up, 16-11-1-3 when he does dress. Runners-up: Matthew Kirzinger & Dane Lindskog, Humboldt; Brody Haygarth & Brant Harris, Estevan. Defenseman of the Week Winner: Justin Favreau, Weyburn Red Wings 1988 D Justin Favreau (Saskatoon SK) is also a very valuable member of his team. Favreau, who collected four assists in three games played last week, has given the Red Wings a big time player on their blueline. The club has gone 16-3-1 since he was acquired from Nanaimo earlier this year. He has one goal and 15 assists in 20 games on the season. Runners-up: Michael Young, Flin Flon; Kirk Byczynski, Yorkton; Scott Linnell, Kindersley. Goaltender of the Week Winner: Jordan Washburn, Melfort Mustangs 1990 G Jordan Washburn (Hudson Bay SK) blanked the fire wagon style Estevan Bruins 6-0 in his only start last week, making 34 saves in the process. Washburn got off to a slow start in his SJHL career, but he's gotten it together in a big way with a young team in front of him to boot. Washburn is 5-6, 3.04, .907 since early November and he's allowed more than three goals in a game only twice in his last twelve appearances. Runners-up: Joel Danyluk, Yorkton; Tommy Legault, Estevan; Andrew Bodnarchuk, Humboldt; Wyatt Waselenchuk, Nipawin.
