Player of the Week Drew George, Weyburn Red Wings 1991 F Drew George (Regina SK) exploded for four goals and five assists in four games played last week, his best seven day stretch since joining the team over the Holidays. Defenseman of the Week Taylor Thiessen, Flin Flon Bombers 1989 D Taylor Thiessen (Prince Albert SK) had his best week as a Bomber, compiling a goal and five helpers over a three game stretch. Thiessen has adjusted to fitting in on a team that is rich in talent on the blueline and, therefore, won't always rely on him to be the focal point. Thiessen now has 18 goals and 25 assists in 55 games overall. Runners-up: Woody Klassen, Battlefords; Austin Krahenbil, Melville; Michael Young, Flin Flon; Mitch Berg, Melfort. Goaltender of the Week Josh Thorimbert, Kindersley Klippers 1992 G Josh Thorimbert (Saskatoon SK) is making an excellent case to be the SJHL Rookie Of The Year. Thorimbert is finishing his year strong as he went 2-and-1 with a 1.96-GAA and a .940-SPCT in three starts. For the season, Thorimbert is second in the league in minutes played and second in wins. He has a 2.67-GAA and .916-SPCT. Runners-up: Deszi Wiens and Zach Rakochy, Melville; Chris Neamonitis, Estevan; Matt Weninger, Flin Flon.
