The Battlefords' North Stars' 20 year old goaltender is the Sherwood-SJHL Player of the Month for November. Justin is 6', 195 lbs and from Lac La Biche, Alberta. Justin played 11 games and 647 minutes in the month of November and had nine wins and two losses, seven of those wins were in a row. He faced 341 shots allowing only 26 goals giving him a goals against average of 2.41 and a save percentage of 92.4%. This helped the North Stars win 11 games in the month of November only suffering two losses. Justin came to the North Stars from the Alberta Junior Hockey League where he won a League Championship. For the season Justin Pesony has played 1328 minutes in 23 games facing 653 shots only allowing 53 goals which gives him a goals against average of 2.39 and a save percentage of 91.9%. He has 15 wins, six losses, and one tie including one shut out. This week's MEE SPORTS - SJHL Player of the Week is awarded to 19 year-old Jeff Marshall of the La Ronge Ice Wolves. Jeff is a 5'11, 185 lb right-winger from Kyle, Saskatchewan. During the past week Jeff accumulated three goals in three games including one game winning goal and one first goal. This helped the Ice Wolves win two of their three games this past week, which puts them in 4th place in the Dodge Conference with 25 points. Jeff Marshall received two nominations for Player of the Week. For the season Jeff has accumulated 21 goals and 12 assists for 33 points and 50 penalty minutes in 29 games. He has eight power-play goals, seven power-play assists, three first goals, four game winning goals, two game winning assists, two game tying goals, one insurance goal, five multiple goal games and one three goal game. Chad Haacke of the Melville Millionaires deserves honorable mention for this past week. He is a 5'11, 190 lb right-winger from Melville, Saskatchewan. This 19 year-old accumulated three goals and four assists in two games for seven points including game winning goals in both games. He also had one short-handed goal and one first goal. With these two wins the Millionaires are still in top spot of the Sherwood Conference with 37 points. For the season Chad has 22 goals and 23 assists in 27 games for 45 points and 71 penalty minutes. He has eight power play goals, 11 power play assists, two short handed goals, two first goals, two first assists, five game winning goals, five game winning assists, two insurance goals, three insurance assists, six multiple goal games, and one three goal game.
