The Humboldt Broncos have acquired the playing rights to 19-year-old forward Chase Campbell from the AJHL's Fort Saskatchewan Traders. Campbell played last year with the Bonnyville Pontiacs and scored three goals and five assists in 41 games. He also accumulated 110 penalty minutes. The Broncos give up future considerations in the trade. The La Ronge Ice Wolves have acquired 18-year-old defenseman/forward Darnell Glass from the Notre Dame Hounds for an unspecified list player. Glass is a 'AAA' Midget graduate from the Yorkton Harvest and Tisdale Trojans. He split time last season between the two clubs and ended up with final totals of 36 games, five goals, 12 assists, 17 points and 92 penalty minutes. The Craven native can play either forward or defense. He has not seen action as of yet in the SJHL. Last week, the Flin Flon Bombers traded defenseman Eric Knutson to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines (MJHL) for forward Ronald Vermette and future considerations. The 19-year-old Knutson had played two games for Flin Flon this season after dressing for 52-games last year when he registered two assists and 107 penalty minutes. The 6'1", 195 Ibs native of Creighton takes his physical play to the MJHL. In Vermette, the Bombers get a forward who had one assist in 25 games last season with the Wolverines. The 19-year-old, 5'9", 170 Ibs native of St-Jean, MB missed a huge chunk of the year with a serious injury after getting hurt in a line brawl against the Southeast Blades.
