Right winger Kevin Burwell of the Flin Flon Bombers has been suspended for four games as a result of accumulating his sixth misconduct type penalty on January 9 against the Notre Dame Hounds. Kevin will sit out the games of January 10, 16, 17, and 23. Right winger Bear Trapp of the Melville Millionaires has been suspended for two games as a result of crossing the center ice line and initiating contact with an opposing player on January 11 against the Weyburn Red Wings. He will sit out the games of January 14 and 16. Left winger Jack Scott of the Melfort Mustangs has been suspended for one game as a result of accumulating his fourth misconduct type penalty during the game on January 11 against the Humboldt Broncos. He will sit out the game of January 16, 2004. Left winger Cole McLean of the Notre Dame Hounds has been suspended for one game as a result of accumulating his fourth misconduct type penalty during the game on January 10 against the Flin Flon Bombers. He will sit out the game of January 16, 2004. Centreman Derek Blais of the Flin Flon Bombers has been suspended for one game as a result of accumulating his fourth misconduct type penalty during the game on January 10 against the Notre Dame Hounds. He will sit out the game of January 16, 2004. Defenceman Jason Beatty of the Yorkton Terriers has been suspended for one game as a result of accumulating his fourth misconduct type penalty during the game on Janaury 9 against the Weyburn Red Wings. He will sit out the game of January 14, 2004. Right winger Barry Sparvier of the Yorkton Terriers has been suspended for one game as a result of accumulating his fourth misconduct type penalty during the game on January 9 against the Weyburn Red Wings. He will sit out the game of January 14, 2004. Player of the week This week's MEE SPORTS - SJHL Player of the Week is awarded to 19 year-old Chad Haacke of the Melville Millionaires. Chad is a 5'11, 190 lb right winger from Melville, Saskatchewan. During the past week Chad accumulated six goals and two assists for eight points and eight penalty minutes. He had one first goal, one game winning goal, one insurance goal, two multiple goal games and one hat trick. This helped the Millionaires win all three of their games this past week putting them in first place in the league with 58 points. For the season Chad has accumulated 33 goals and 34 assists for 67 points and 114 penalty minutes in 40 games. He has nine power play goals, 17 power play assists, two short handed goals, three first goals, four first assists, six game winning goals, eight game winning assists, five insurance goals, five insurance assists, eight multiple goal games, and two three goal games. Honorable Mention Honorable mention goes to several of Chad Haacke's teammates with the Melville Millionaires who all contributed seven points this past week; 19 year-old, 5'10, 175 lb right winger Kai Magnussen had three goals and four assists, 20 year-old, 5'11, 175 lb left winger Jordan Hack had two goals and five assists. 19 year-old, 5'11, 165 lb right winger Bear Trapp had two goals and five assists.
