The Battlefords North Stars and Melfort Mustangs have made separate deals that involve future considerations with clubs in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. The Stars have traded 19-year-old forward Adam Houle to the Lloydminster Blazers. Houle played nine games with the Stars and scored three goals this past season. The Saulteaux native has played with the WHL's Saskatoon Blades for parts of three seasons and has two career goals to go with seven assists in 62-games. The Mustangs acquire 19-year-old defenseman Dallas Thomson from the Brooks Bandits for future considerations. Thomson was not a regular last season; although he had a brief cup of coffee with the Melville Millionaires. A native of Milden, Thomson ended up playing 10 games with the Mils and contributed one assist. SJHL training camps open September 1st.
