Here are the SJHL weekly award winners for the week ending November 28. Player of the Week: Chris Hahn, Notre Dame Hounds The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce Notre Dame forward Chris Hahn as the Midwest Sportswear Ltd. Player of the Week for the period ending November 28th. The 19-year-old Hahn picked up, at least, a single point in each of Notre Dame's four games last week. Hahn scored twice and set up another in a 7-2 win over Estevan on Monday. He scored his team's only goal in a 5-1 loss the next night to Weyburn. On Friday, Hahn picked up a goal in a 3-2 loss to the Kindersley Klippers. He scored once and set up another the next night as the Hounds downed the Klippers 7-3. Hahn now has 40-points this season and is gaining on SJHL leading scorer Troy Schwab of the Kindersley Klippers, who has 44. The Notre Dame rookie trio of Mathieu Angers-Goulet, Trenton Moore, and Chad Anderson deserve mention as well. Other players short listed this week included Jeff Marshall from La Ronge, Arlen Marshall and Jason Miller of Humboldt, and Jon Lawrance from Nipawin. Defenceman of the Week: Perry Faul, Yorkton Terriers The SJHL Defenseman of the Week is 20-year-old Perry Faul of the Yorkton Terriers. The Esterhazy native had two points in each of Yorkton's two road wins last week. He had one goal and one assist in Wednesday's 3-2 decision over the Kindersley Klippers. He set up two goals one night earlier as the Terriers downed the Battlefords North Stars 5-2. Faul is tied for second amongst SJHL defensemen in scoring with four goals and 15-assists in 18-games. He and Gio Flamminio (Kindersley) are the only blueliners to have averaged more than a point per game this season. Faul edged out Battlefords' Jared Mohr and Flamminio for the honor. Goaltender of the Week: Brenden Cuthbert, Weyburn Red Wings The SJHL Goaltender of the Week is 20-year-old Brenden Cuthbert of the Weyburn Red Wings. What a difference a change of scenery makes for Cuthbert, who managed just one win in a little more than half a season with the Melfort Mustangs. Cuthbert has won his first three starts with the Wings, including two last week. On Tuesday, he blocked 22-shots in a 5-1 win over the first place Notre Dame Hounds. He helped snag two points in La Ronge on Saturday by turning aside 30-shots in a 6-3 decision. Cuthbert's season totals with Weyburn read 3-and-0, 1.33, .951. On the season, he's 4-and-8 with a 3.42-GAA, and .911-SPCT. Runner up status went to Nipawin's Michael Clements, Yorkton's Kevin Dziaduck, and Estevan's Juliano Pagliero. Hahn receives a product from Midwest Sportswear Ltd; while Hahn, Faul, and Cuthbert all get undergarment wear from ITECH.
