The SJHL All-star festivities took place in Melfort yesterday. The Prospects Game was a fast paced affair and in the end it was the Sherwood Conference who skated away with an 8-1 win. Darren Murton of the Melfort Mustangs was named the game star for the Dodge Conference and Kyle Pellerin of the Estevan Bruins was named the game star for the Sherwood Conference. Flin Flon's Joey Moggach was the lone Bomber representative for the Prospects Game. Andrew Skrabek, Derek Gallagher and Jeff LaPointe represented the Bombers at the main event on Sunday evening. Gallagher and Skrabek were named to the original team, while LaPointe was a late addition after an injury to Steve Makway of the Battlefords' North Stars. On the Sherwood Conference prospects team, defenceman Denis Chisholm of the Notre Dame Hounds was not able to participate due to injury, and was replaced by Justin Schmit of the Estevan Bruins. We will have full coverage of the Prospects Game and All-star Game in The Reminder tomorrow.
