The Kindersley Klippers defeated the Melfort Mustangs 5-3 in the only game in the SJHL on Wednesday night. Josh Sim scored twice and added two assists, while Troy Schwab had a goal and two assists. Josh Zimmer and Cody Nunweiler had the other Kindersley goals, while Nick VanDenBeld, Kurtis Astle and Chad Richardson scored for Melfort. The Klippers out shot the Mustangs 35-28. The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has suspended Flin Flon Bomber forward Cole McLean for one game due to an accumulation of misconduct penalties. McLean will miss this Friday's game against the Battlefords North Stars. The SJHL has also announced a partnership with The Snackman to bring privately labeled SJH20 water to SJHL fans. The Snackman, from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, has agreed to bottle SJH2O water in 500 ml bottles. The water is currently making its way onto the shelves of participating grocery stores, convenience store, and gas bars in all 12 SJHL communities. It is expected to be available in Flin Flon by this time next week. Twelve sets of brightly colored SJH2O labels, one for each SJHL team, have been designed to help promote the product and to provide fans with the opportunity to collect bottles from their favorite team. A portion of the sale of each bottle of SJH2O will be directed back to each SJHL team, the League, and if the project is successful minor hockey organizations across the province. For more information on SJH2O, or if you are interested in carrying the product in your store please call The Snackman at 306-693-2727.
