The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has announced the Itech and Sherwood Conference All-Star Teams that will take part in the midseason classic to be played in Lampman as part of the second annual SaskEnergy Hockey Day in Saskatchewan festivities. The SJHL All Star Game presented by Harrow Sports is to one of the highlights of the province wide event during the weekend of January 16, 17 and 18 as the Saskatchewan Hockey Association celebrates the game of hockey in what can only be considered as a satellite version of Hockey Day in Canada. The weekend is highlighted with the Saskatchewan Midget 'AAA' Hockey League All-Star Game on Saturday and the Saskatchewan Female Midget 'AAA' Hockey League All-Star Game with the SJHL stars taking to the ice Sunday afternoon. For more on Hockey Day In Saskatchewan, please visit http://www.hockeydayinsask.ca/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1 The SJHL All-Stars were chosen by SJHL coaches, who submit names off their own teams and then vote within their conference as to who best would represent their respective conferences. SJHL coaches only vote within their conference and are not allowed to vote for players on his own team. Coaching and training staff for the game are earned by the teams in each conferencen with the best winning percentage as of December 31. Therefore, the Sherwood Conference will be led by the Melville Millionaires staff, headed by Head Coach Jamie Fiesel. He'll be assisted by Neil Lamberty and the trainer is Dave Melnychuk. The Itech Conference coaching staff is represented by Humboldt's Dean Brockman and his assistants, Murray Brookbank and Tim Klimosko. The trainer is Brett McCorkell. In the Sherwood Conference, Melville goalie Travis Bosch, Notre Dame centre Rylan Schwartz, and Kindersley right wing Kirk Pearce were unanimous selections. In the Itech Conference, Humboldt defenseman Brady Wacker, and Nipawin left wing Torrie Dyck were unanimous choices. In the Sherwood, the Millionaires will be represented by six players. Bosch is joined by defensemen Austin Krahenbil and Curtis Beech as well as left winger Kale Dolinski, right winger Daniel Hope, and centreman Levi Lind. The Sherwood starters are Bosch, Greg Coburn (Yorkton), Krahenbil, Rylan Schwartz, Brett Leedahl (Kindersley), and Pearce. Humboldt has the biggest haul of All-Stars in the Itech with seven Joining Wacker are goalie Andrew Bodnarchuk, defenseman Tanner Vandesype, centremen Steven Schroeder and Matthew Kirzinger, left winger Tory Allan, and right winger Scott Schroeder.
