Junior player Justine Rodnisky earned a silver in singles badminton competition during pre-zones in The Pas. That was the lone bright spot for the team as only 10 of 16 members participated due to other commitments. Hapnot sent two boys and girls single teams, two mixed teams and two boys and girls double teams. Coach Rob Abbott likes the make up of the team this year and said that the boys singles are strong. Abbott is also pleased with the girls doubles teams. "I'm extremely happy with everyone," Abbott said during a practice last week. "They were eager to learn and have worked hard on foot work." Hapnot is now preparing for zones, which are taking place in Norway House.
