Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The Shriners took Gold over the Elks to close out the Flin Flon Minor Hockey Association's Atom division season. In the final game, played last Tuesday night, March 20, the teams rallied against each other for the year-end Atom trophy and bragging rights. Bringing the season to a close, the game was played at the Whitney Forum before the division awards were handed out. The Flin Flon Atom teams played each other on home ice and away this season. The players made new friends and continued friendships from past seasons. With this being a co-ed division, the boys and girls played well together for another great season. The efforts of all the players were recognized, though there were 10 who stood out amongst the rest. The following players won awards: Best Defenseman _ Tanner Dutcawich Best Goalie _ Rylan Potkonjak MVP _ Carson Lee, Sean Yaworski Most Sportsmanlike _ Chloe Reitlo, Logan Husberg and Lauren Fox Most Improved _ Keenan Campbell, Jonah Winton and Abby Quick Coaches also handed out individual Esso awards for their teams.
