Zeanan Ziemer scored at 17:42 of the second overtime to give the Dauphin Kings a 7-6 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Saturday night, squaring the ANAVET Cup at one win apiece. Dauphin hosted last night's game against the Ice Wolves. The teams gear up for tonight's game and tomorrows game in the King's barn. Game two was a wild and whacky affair that saw the two teams play a scoreless game until the six minute mark of the second, when Dan Conacher's first of two ignited a seven goal barrage between the two sides. Ben Findlay's goal with just under three minutes to play looked like the winner, but Joel Kot replied with only three seconds to go in regulation to force OT. Former Estevan netminder Brett Willows and Adam Bartko traded save for save in extra time before Ziemer ended the marathon, sending the Kings on the long 10 hour drive home having earned a split in the SJHL-MJHL bragging rights series. Mitch Czibere and Ryan Dreger each had a goal and two assists for the Kings. Ziemer, Kot, Steven Shamanski, Shane Luke, and Troy Hunter also scored for Dauphin. Conacher and Liam Brennan each had two for La Ronge. Singles came from Findlay and Doug Lindensmith. Willows stopped 63 shots for the win. Bartko made 60 saves. On Saturday, Joel Danyluk made 44 saves to preserve a 5-3 Ice Wolves victory in the series opener. Danyluk has now won all five of his postseason starts. SJHL Player Of The Year Dustin Stevenson had a goal and two assists to lead the way in the opener. Marc-Andre Carre, Kirk Moore, Conacher, and rookie Skyler Hladun scored for La Ronge. It was Hladun's first playoff action after being recalled from the Prince Albert Mintos (SMAAAHL). Angus Klassen, Cody Esposito, and Hunter scored for Dauphin.
