The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has released the schedule for the September Showcase, which will be held in Saskatoon between September 23rd and 26th. Unlike last year, all games played by the teams will count for points in the overall regular season standings. An added feature to this year's event is the inclusion of six CanWest CIS teams. The Regina Cougars, Saskatchewan Huskies, and Lethbridge Pronghorns will all play three games each. The Manitoba Bisons, Alberta Golden Bears, and Calgary Dinosaurs will get two games apiece. The Saskatchewan 'AAA' Midget Hockey League's Saskatoon Blazers and Tisdale Trojans will play each other on September 24th and 26th. The twelve SJHL clubs will play three times each over the course of the four day event. Also scheduled are the Education and Red Cross seminars for the players. Each team has its own alotted time for each individual session. All games will be played at the Jemini Four Arena. Last season, the SJHL September Showcase attracted in the neighborhood of 100 scouts from all walks of life, including the NCAA, CIS, other Junior and professional ranks.
