It was a bit windy on Wednesday, August 17, but that didn't bother the 44 seniors who turned out for a morning of golf. Top foursome with five points, Bruce Reid, Merle Sproxton, Bob Quinn and Glen Smith. Second place was a tie at four points, Red Nelson, Gerry Nomeland, Lorne Butcher, Paul Warga and Bill Eastman, Ted Steventon, Tom Edwards, Bert Graves. Third with two points were Cam Wilson, Stan Curtis, Gil Labarre and Fred Fey. Fourth with two points were Grant Adams, Jim Conner, Bill Martinot and Dick Berthiaume. Fifth with minus three points George Neufeld, Willie Neufeld, Ron Atkinson and Ken Allen. Many tried but Glen Smith was the only one to make a deuce on #6 and got the loonie pot. Red Nelson and Barry Smith tie for low gross with 39 strokes each and Doug Ormiston had the low net with a net 32. Bill Martinot had the best putt on #8 with an 11' putt. Remember that next Wednesday, August 24, we enjoy our annual seniors breakfast. Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Cost for golf and breakfast is $4. Come early for coffee and stay late, have fun, enjoy the day.
