Wednesday was just a great morning for the 37 seniors who came out for our weekly scramble. The course is getting in better condition for golf every day, our work crews are doing a good job of maintaining the fairways and greens, now for a little more water and warm sunshine we will have great golf conditions for the summer. Our top group this week was the only group to earn points. Jim Russell, Ken Weaver, Al Brown and Doug Ormiston earned one point to lead the field. Two groups tied for zero points, Bob McKay, Doug Anderson, Waly Ariko, Glen Campbell and Al Mills, Bob Quinn, Ron Bailey, Dale Powell. Next with minus one point were Barry Smith, Ron Wiebe, Brian Row and Ted Baumgartner. Two groups tied for last money, Lorne Butcher, Metro Lekopoy, Ron Watt, Scotty Graham and Jim Conner, Grant Adams, Ron Atkinson, Bill Martinot, Bryan Dixon. Low gross score went to Ron Wiebe with a 39 and Scotty Graham had low net score of 33. Bryan Dixon won the loonie pot on #6 with a closest and Al Mills had the longest putt on #8. Any of our senior golfers who are not able to play are welcome to come out for early coffee and watch the fellows tee off. Our next scramble will be June 9. First foursome off #1 blue tee at 8 a.m.
