Wednesday was another great summer morning for the 48 senior golfers who came out for our regular scramble. The good weather had an effect on the golf scores as well with all prize money going to foursomes who exceeded their averages. Top foursome with nine points were Ron Watt, Stan Curtis, Grant Adams and Dan Hamilton. Two groups tied for second with seven points: Waly Ariko, Ken Hanson, Lorne Butcher, Bruce Reid and Warner Rink, Rodger Poirier, Terry Lofgren, Bob McKay. Four groups tied for third and got the balance of the prize money with five points: Metro Lekopoy, Ken Allen, George Komanac, Al Mills and Ken Weaver, Doug Anderson, Jim Russell, Garnet Wheeler and Brian Row, Gord Brown, Cam Wilson, Ron Bailey and Lee Fisher, Merle Sproxton, Ron Atkinson, Dick Bertrhiaume. Low Gross of 40 was by Lee Fisher and Ron Wiebe and low net of 29 was by Bruce Reid. Bryan Dixon won the loonie pot on #6 with closest and Ron Atkinson drained a 40' putt on #8 for the best putt there. Our next seniors scramble will be on Wednesday July 14.
