One of the great golf courses in southern Manitoba is the championship Minnewasta Golf Course at Morden. And while enjoying the play here I got the following news from the seniors play at Phantom Lake Golf Course. It was a great sunny morning with Paul Warga leading the seniors with a low gross score of 41. Closest to the hole on #6 was Ted Steventon, fresh out from Calgary, to win the loonie pot. And Grant Adams got honours for the longest putt on #8. In foursome play, top team was Brian Row, Ted Steventon and Roy Henry. Second was Alex Graham, Rick Switzer, Paul Warga and Al Brown. Third was Ron Bailey, Ken Allen, Bert Graves and Ron Watt. Fourth was Bob McKay, Brian Dixon, Lorne Butcher and Gord Brown. Fifth was Jim Russell, Dick Berthiaume, Dan Hamilton and Alex Lekopoy. Our next scramble will be on Wednesday, June 28. First foursome off the #1 white tee at 8 a.m. Seniors are asked to please sign up before 7:45 a.m.6/26/2006
