Except for the bugs, just a great morning for golf. And with a lttle repellent the bugs were tolerable. Big rain left the fairways a bit soggy but the greens were soft and easily playable. The cloudy morning didn't stop 40 seniors from coming out to enjoy the golf. Top group of the morning with 10 points were Bill Martinot, Bryan Dixon and Jim Conner. Second with five points were Bev Baker, Stan Curtis, Ron Baily and Dave Negrych. Two Groups tied for third place with three points, Ken Allen, Jim Russell, Alex Lekopoy, Doug Ormiston and Gord Brown, Ted Steventon, Terry Lofgren. Fourth with one point, Bert Graves, Tom Edwards and Tom Ianone. Three Groups tied for fifth, Red Nelson, Lorne Butcher, Ron Thorley, Hugh Howat and Bob McKay, Alex Graham, Metro Lekopoy, Vic Poirier and Ted Hampson, Winston Hampson, Ron Watt, Cam Wilson. Low Gross score was a 40 by Barry Smith and Low Net by Bryan Dixon with a net 29. The loonie plot on #6 was split between Red Nelson and Doug Ormiston each with a birdie. Jack Streitle had the longest putt on #8 with an 18' putt. Seniors are reminded that our annual Seniors Golf Tournament is on Sunday August 8th. Kelly has sign up sheets in the Pro Shop. More info on this next week. Our next seniors scramble will be on Wednesday July 28. First foursome off #1 tee at 8 a.m.
