When seniors mounted the tee on Wednesday, July 10, it would have been acceptable to put on a parka. A chilly north wind made the 50 seniors bundle up a bit. Top foursome of the morning were Harvey Fleming, Bob Quinn, Willie Neufeld and brother George Neufeld with eight points. Three groups tied for second place with seven points, Red Nelson, Gerry Nomeland, Bryan Dixon, Glen Campbell and Ted Baumgartner, Doug Ormiston, Garnet Wheeler, Lorne Butcher and Ron Weibe, Alec Graham, Brian Row, Ken McKay. Next with four points, Jack Larsson, Doug Anderson, Tom Ianone and George Komanac. Sixth with three points, Ron Bailey, Barry Smith, Bev Baker and Al Milles. Two groups tied for last place with zero points, Gord Brown, Metro Lekopoy, Rick Switzer, Bruce Reid and Dennis Anderson, Al Brown, Gord Redahl, Hugh Howat. Probably a few seniors will have missed church on Sunday, taking time out for our Seniors Tournament. All the results will be printed soon. So our next scramble will be Wednesday, August 17. First four off #1 tee, in bright sunshine, no later than 7:30 a.m.
