It was really a delightful summer and especially for our Wednesday morning mingles. Since May 13 and continuing thru these five months we have enjoyed a well maintained golf course, a courteous club house staff, great support from our pro Curt Lawrence and wonderful weather. Top all this off with great camaraderie and friendship amongst the seniors and it is difficult to say goodbye to our regular Wednesday morning mingles. However the time has come and we look forward with great enthusiasm to next year. Even in our last mingle for the season we had 41 seniors out to enjoy the day. Maybe a bit cloudy and lots of bugs, but a good day for golf. Top foursome for the day with six points were, Rick Dancewear, Don Melien, Dennis Anderson and George Komanac. Second with four points , Metro Lekopoy, Dave Negrych, Al Brown and Harvey Fleming. Third with three points, Jim Conner, Dick Berthiaume, Lorne Butcher and Bev Baker. Fourth with two points, Ron Atkinson, Merle Sproxton and Gord Redahl. Fifth and Sixth foursomes tied with zero points, Jack Larsson, Al Bhatt, Cam Wilson, Bob McKay and Bob Quinn, Ted Baumgartner, Glen Campbell, Bert Graves. Low Gross for the day was Bill Martinot with a 38. Low net by Metro Lekopoy with a net 31. Metro and Al Bhatt shared the loonie pot on #6 each with a deuce and Alec Lekopoy had the longest putt on #8 at eight feet. So fun was had by all including the contributors. Maybe a bit early, but soon the seniors will be on the ice trying again to hit the broom. Enjoy the game, have fun and we will see you in the spring.
