Forty seniors turned out for our scramble on Wednesday. The winds a bit chilly and the course quite wet from recent rains but did not affect the enthusiasm of the seniors. We had a three way tie for low gross with Ron Watt, Barry Smith and Ron Wiebe each carding a 40. However Ron Watt also took the low net with a net 30 and was closest on #6 for the loonie pot. Ron Wiebe made the longest putt on #8 with an 18' putt. The top foursome pf the scramble with 10 earned points were Stan Curtis, Ron Thorley, Brian Row and Al Brown. Second with five earned points were Ron Watt, Grant Adams, Ron Bailey and Rodger Poirier. Third with three points were Al Mills, Dave Negrych, Bev Baker and Bob McKay. Fourth with even points were Ken Allen, Jim Conner, Ken Weaver and Glen Campbell. Tied for fifth at minus one were Lorne Buthcher, Waly Ariko, Gerry Nomeland, Bryan Dixon and Rick Switzer Terry Lofgren, Ron Atkinson and Bill Martinot. Next week six of our seniors group will be competing in the MSOS Games at Portage. We wish for them sunny skies, good golf and good luck. Our next seniors scramble will be on Wednesday, June 16. First group off the blue tees at 8 a.m.
