It may not have been summer like weather on Wedensday morning but we still had 37 seniors out for the weekly scramble. The golf was very good with great results. The top foursome with 15 points were Garnet Wheeler, Ron Thorley, Gord Brown and Ron Bailey. This ranks as one of the best rounds by a foursome ever. We had a tie for second place with 12 points; Red Nelson, Al Mills, Waly Ariko, Lorne Butcher; and Harold Carr, Ted Steventon, Al Brown, Jack Chrisp. Also a tie for third with 4 points; Cam Wilson, Stan Curtis, Rick Switzer, Warner Rink; and Scotty Graham, Rodger Poirier, Brian Row, Alex Lekopoy. Our low gross winner was Gord Brown with a 37 just squeezing out Al Mills who had a very good round of 38. Al, however, captured the low net with a net 26. Maybe the lowest net score we have recorded. Alex Lekopoy won the loonie pot with a closest to the pin and Al Brown had the longest putt on #8 with an 18' putt. Just a couple of reminders for our senior men, our annual breakfast will be on August 25 with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Cost of the scramble and full breakfast will be $5. The Snow Lake Annual Seniors Tournament is on Wednesday, September 1st. Get your entry in early. Our next scramble will be on Wednesday, August 18. First foursome off the tee at 8:00 a.m.8/13/2004
