What started out as a morning with drizzling rain and heavy cloud actually turned out to be a very good morning for the 29 seniors who came out for the scramble. Hopefully with a little bit of luck the weather will hold for another scramble next week. Barry Smith took the low gross spot this week with a 41 and Doug Ormiston the low net with a net 32. Jim Conner got a lucky bounce onto the #6 green to capture the loonie pot and Al Brown made a 20' putt on #8 for the longest putt. We had a tie at plus one point for top spot in foursome play by Barry Smith, Sandy Ernest, George Komanac, Brian Row and Grant Adams, Dave Negrych, Ron Watt. Second place at minus one were Al Bhatt, Al Brown, Merle Sproxton. Third place at minus five were, Ron Wiebe, Gord Brown, Cam Wilson and Paul Warga. The rest of us were contributers. Closing day tournament is on Sunday, September 12th. A good chance for all seniors to get in some extra golf before the snow flies. Our next scramble will be on Wednesday, September 15. First foursome off #1 tee at 9 a.m.
