To say it was windy would be a gross understatment. It was a real southern gale that greeted the 34 seniors who came out to test their skill against Mother Nature. Well only a third of the seniors managed to earn their alloterd points. Only one group came out on the plus side. Tom Edwards, Bert Graves, George Neufelt and Willy Neufelt earned seven points to come out on top. Second with minus four points were Paul Warga, Jack Larsson, Harvey Fleming and Sandy Ernest. Third and fourth tied with minus six points were Ken Allen, Doug Ormiston, Garnet Wheeler, Gerry Fladager and Ron Thorley, Grant Adams, Ron Watt, Scotty Graham, Gord Brown. Fifth flight winners with minus eight points, Jack Streitle, Rob Corden, Hugh Howat and Ron Atkinson. Two seniors tied for low gross of 43, Ron Atkinson and Gord Brown. Low Net of 33 went to Jack Streitle. Doug Ormiston won the loonie pot on #6 by being closest while Willy Neufelt got the longest putt on #8 with a 17 foot putt. Our next seniors scramble will be on Wednesday September 17. First flight off #1 tee at 8:30 a.m.
