The windy morning on Wednesday, August 3, must have been favourable for Al Mills who got the deuce on #6 to win the loonie pot. And this was the only deuce scored by the 51 seniors who came out for a morning of golf. Low Gross score was by Ron Wiebe with a 37 and Ron also had the longest putt on #8 at 12'. Low net score was by Waly Ariko with a net 29. In foursome competition top group with six points were Rick Switzer, Ron Wiebe, Lee Fisher. Second with three points were Doug Anderson, Al Brown, Metro Lekopoy and Dennis Anderson. Two foursomes tied for third place with two points, Paul Warga, Jack Larsson, Bob McKay, Waly Ariko and Ron Atkinson, Bill Eastman, Dick Berthiaume and Jim Conner. Three foursomes tied for fourth, Doug Ormiston, Dave Negrych, Alex Lekopoy, Bev Baker and Bob Quinn, Hugh Howat, Tom Ianone, Gord redahl and Ted Steventon, Grant Adams, Bert Graves, Tom Edwards. In our Seniors Championship current matches to be played are: Bert Graves vs Lee Fisher; Ken McKay vs Ted Baumgartner; Jack Larsson vs winner of tie match between Doug Anderson and Tom Edworthy; Dick Berthiaume vs Bob Quinn. On the consolation side: Al Brown vs Bill Eastman, Paul Warga vs Ron Watt; Waly Ariko vs Tom Ianone; Barry Smith and Brian Row must break a tie; Garnet Wheeler vs Dennis Anderson; Dave Negrych vs Grant Adams; George Komanac vs Jim Conner.
