Another great day on Wednesday, June 8, for the best seniors activity in town. There were 53 seniors who turned out for our weekly scramble. Just about a record turnout for our senior golfers. Gord Brown on his first trip out with us this year won the loonie pot on #6 with closest to the hole. Al Bhatt had the best putt on #8 with an 18' putt. Bill Martinot had another great round shooting an even par 36 for the low gross and also captured the low net with a net 28. In foursome play the top group was Terry Grindle, Jack Streitle, Grant Adams and Dan Hamiton with 13 points. Second with 7 points were Joe Hamitpon, Hugh Meikle, Rick Switzer and Dale Powell. Third with five points were Sandy Ernest, Lorne Butcher, Barry Smith and Doug Ormiston. Fouth with three points were Red Nelson, Al Mills, Adolphe Linnick and Garnet Wheeler. Fifth with 2 points were Brian Row, Al Bhatt, Doug Anderson and Cam Wilson.ÊSixth place was a tie with Harvey Fleming, Ted Baumgartner, Alex Lekopoy, Ken Allen and Stan Curtis, Hpward Nichol, Gord Brown, Bryan Dixon and Dennis Anderson, Bob McKay, Ron Atkinson, Bert Graves. Lots of winners. The rest of us were contributers. We will start our Seniors Scramble/ Mingle Wenesday Championship play in early July. Any seniors who will not be here for Wednesdays in July please let the committee know. We will try to schedule pairings accordingly. Our next regular scramble will be on June 15. First foursome offÊ#1 tee no later than 8 a.m.
