The good weather of the past week held for our final scramble of the season with 34 seniors turning out for the morning golf. The golf was very good as well with good performance by the winning foursomes. Top group with five points Doug Ormiston, Alex Graham, Rick Switzer and Garnet Wheeler. Second with three points Jim Karlsen, Dick Berthiaume, Stan Curtis and Bob McKay. Third with two points Al Mills, Alex Lekopoy, Ron Thorley and Ted Baumgartner. Fourth with zero points Brian Row, Barry Smith, Sandy Ernest and Brian Dixon. Fifth with one point under Jim Russell, Glen Campbell, Paul Warga and Metro Lekopoy. The rest of the field were contributers. Doug Anderson captured the low gross honours with a 38 and also the best low net score with a net 25. Metro Lekopoy got closest on #6 to take the loonie pot and Bill Eastman made the longest putt on #8 with a 20' putt. Our abbriviated Seniors Scramble Championship was won by Hugh Howat in an extra hole over Bev Baker. Next year all our regular seniors will have an opportunity to compete and by then we should have our trophy ready for presentation. The scramble championship will give our seniors a good focal point for our Wednesday scramble play. With this our final scramble for the golf season we wish all our seniors good health for the winter months and we look forward to another great season of golf in 2005. Good curling, get your ice legs in shape, keep your eye on the broom and have fun.
