Security at Flin Flon Bomber home games is improving, says Kyle Whitehead, head of security. "We're impressed with the cooperation from the high school students," he said. "For three games, they were told they couldn't stand along the railing in section D, but we allowed them to stand during Saturday's game and everything went well." There was a concern about congestion along the causeway with the teenagers standing three and four deep, but the problem has been solved. Should the congestion problem resurface, after a warning, the students will be asked to remain seated for the rest of the season. "As long as the standing room is only one person deep, the students will be allowed to continue standing," promised Whitehead. Also, because of the large number of children attending the game unsupervised, anyone under the age of 15 will be asked to sit in either section D or section F. "Kids will not be allowed to be up and roaming around the rink unattended," said Whitehead. "During the game, they must be sitting down in the designated areas." Currently, there are approximately 10 volunteers who have been working the security at the Bomber home games. Whitehead says that they could use more, and are especially looking for female volunteers as they currently don't have any.
