Can't wait for minor ball to start its season? Then head out to the Creighton Ball Diamond on Saturday for a game of scrub ball. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, everyone is invited to the ball diamond in Creighton to play a pickup game of softball. You don't have to be a member of Flin Flon/Creighton Minor Ball, and there is no charge for the event. Kids of all ages are invited to come and try the sport. If they like it, they can register for the upcoming season. Also, the Lions Trailer will be on site to cook hot dogs. You can pick up a hot dog and a drink for just a buck. Also, any girls born in 1992 or 1993 that would like to play softball in the Norman Regional Summer Games can try out at this time. The regional finals of the Manitoba Summer Games are being held right here in Flin Flon, June 4-6. For more information on either of these events, contact Tim at 687-0469.
