This weekend, December 10, 11 and 12 the Uptown Curling Club will be hosting the District 1 Scotties Zone Playoff. There are nine teams: five from Flin Flon, three from Thompson and one from The Pas. Curling starts Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. with two Flin Flon teams playing. There will be a banquet Friday evening and then the next game will be at 8 p.m. Friday night. Curling will resume on Saturday with games at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday will see play at 8 a.m. and noon and if necessary a game at 4 p.m. See you at the rink! Come on out and cheer on your favourite team! As I've said before, "the price is right!"
