The Notre Dame Hounds are happy to announce two players have garnered NCAA Division I scholarships slated to take affect in the Fall of 2005. First, 18-year-old defenseman Brennan Turner has agreed to attend Yale and play hockey for the Bulldogs.ÊTurner has three goals and nine assists in 34 games this season.ÊA native of Winnipeg, the 6'3", 220 lbs blueliner also has 183 penalty minutes.ÊIt's his second full year as a member of the Junior Hounds.Ê His SAT is 1180. Meanwhile, 18-year-old forward Mathieu Angers-Goulet has earned a scholarship to play for the Rensselaer (RPI) Engineers. Angers-Goulet has 19 goals and 16 assists in 47 games during what has been an excellent rookie year for the Hounds.ÊThe 5'10" St. Augustin, PQ, product, who had a high school average of 83%, would become the third ex-SJHLer on the Engineers. Sophomore forwards Tommy Green (Melfort) and Kevin Broad (Humboldt) are on the current roster.
