The Kindersley Klippers announced 20-year-old forwards Troy Schwab and Josh Sim have committed to the Lake Superior Lakers for 2005-06. Schwab currently leads the SJHL in scoring with 12 goals and 26 assists in 21 games. The 5'8", 185 Ibs native of Kindersley has been with the Klippers for four seasons and has won a pair of Membercare Cups. He has averaged over a point per game for each of the last three seasons, and is well on his way in 2004-05. In addition to leading the team in scoring during the 2003-04 campaign with 65-points, Schwab led Kindersley with 11 goals in 16 playoff contests during last year's championship run. Sim, a 5'10", 183 Ibs native of Saskatoon, has been injured for the last few weeks and has participated in just twelve games this season. However, he was enjoying a breakout year with eight goals and 11 assists. Sim had 10 goals and 17 asssists in 49 games last season. The Lake Superior Lakers have enjoyed recruiting in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in recent years. They currently sport four ex-SJHLers on the roster in Trent Campbell (La Ronge), Kory Scoran (Melfort), Derek Smith (Estevan), and Nathan Ward (Weyburn).
