Submitted by Dave Price For the fourth year in a row, the Precambrian Sailing Club hosted a Sailing School at the main beach at Denare Beach. From July 4-7, the Manitoba Sailing Association sent up two highly qualified instructors, together with 10 sailboats and three sailboards. The students included three adults and 17 children aged 7-15. Beginner classes ran in the morning, while the advanced students were in the afternoon. Warm and sunny Conditions were warm and sunny with plenty of wind (sometimes a bit too much!) The younger guys sailed in the kid-sized 'Prams' and the older students in 'Lasers' and the 'Flying Juniors'. On Thursday, a series of five races were run to select a team to represent the NorMan Region at the Manitoba Summer Games to be held at Wellman Lake, Duck Mountain July 15-18, 2012. Results Results were as follows: Boys under 14 (sailing Prams) 1st to 3rd, Brad Ginnell, Coltyn Stone-Lamontagne, Jamie Anaka Girls under 14 - 1st to 3rd, Louisa Morin, Casey Cooper, Eve Cooper Boys 14 and over (sailing Lasers) - 1st and 2nd, Edward Gardner and Isaac Dufour-Jarvis Girls 14 and over - 1st, Ania Romanowska
