Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Raising awareness and hopefully a few dollars, members of the Relay for Life committee will be selling hot dogs this Saturday in the Wal Mart parking lot. Along with the favourite summer treat, a bouncy house will be available for children to use. Information on the Relay for Life will be available as well as help for those looking to register a team. Katie Kawerski, a new member to the committee, says she's looking forward to the Relay for Life Ð being held September 10 at the Creighton ball diamond. "I'm hoping it's going to be a success," said Kawerski. "I think it's a wonderful idea." Helping with the fundraising side of the event, Kawerski says she things it's "a great way for the community to band together and fight against cancer." The Relay for Life, a first time event for both Kawerski and Flin Flon, will have its first kickoff this weekend. Along with information for those interested in the event, and looking to register, the luminaries will be on sale as well. The luminaries are purchased in memory or in honour of those who have been diagnosed with cancer and will light the way at the 12-hour event.
