Flin Flon Bomber goalie Paul Reimer is moving on to the NCAA after he recently received a scholarship. Reimer gets a 90-percent deal with Manhattanville (Division III) after a 19-year-old season with the Bombers that saw him go 6-13-and-4 with a 4.19-GAA and .903-SPCT. In Manhattanville, he'll be re-united with former La Ronge teammate Justin Rohr. "I played two years with Justin in La Ronge so it's exciting to be joining him there. I also met Myles Fee (ex-Dauphin MJHL) a couple of years ago at a hockey school and he plays there too," said Reimer, who was eligible to return for his final junior season. Manhattanville played the Regina Cougars in a weekend series at the start of last season and caught a glimpse of Reimer on a scouting trip. The Boissevain native made over 50-saves in a 3-0 loss to Notre Dame and then was under attack with another 50-shots the following night in a 2-2 tie with Estevan. A spot for Reimer opened up when former OCN puckstopper Andrew Gallant's spot on the team became vacated at the end of the season. "Everything happened real quick. I think they were maybe looking at me down the road for next year and not this one. I haven't even been down there yet." Reimer is a 3-year SJHL veteran, who endured an injury plagued 2002-03 season in which he was able to go 5-and-2 with a 3.79-GAA and .914-SPCT with La Ronge. He was 0-and-1, 4.09, .893 with the Bombers.
