Late registrations are still being taken for the Ethics in Coaching seminar, to be held on Sunday, January 18, 2004. Walk-ins are also welcome to attend. Flin Flon Parks and Recreation is hosting the seminar as part of the 2004 Coaching Manitoba winter seminar series. These seminars are designed for grass roots and community coaches. If you are interested in this two-hour workshop, you can pre register by January 15 by calling the Aqua Centre at 681-7540. "We've got a dozen people signed up so far," said Brenda Russell, Flin Flon recreation director. "We would like to encourage parents and coaches to sign up for this. These seminars don't come our way often. It's a good opportunity for coaches and parents to take it and enhance their knowledge." The seminar is open to all coaches of any sport, and parents are more than welcome to attend. David Telles-Langdon will be leading the discussion. He is a chartered professional coach, director of the National Coaching Institute of Manitoba, and has Level 5 sailing certification. The seminar will be held on Sunday, January 18 from 7-9 p.m. in the Green Room at the Community Hall.
