Flin Flon The 4th Annual Indoor Soccer tournament kicks off this weekend on April 28-30 at the Whitney Forum. On Friday, action begins at 5 p.m. with last game being played at 9 p.m. The fun restarts on Saturday at 9 a.m. with the last game being played at 7 p.m. The final games take place on Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Don't miss out on the free pancake breakfast on Saturday, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. For this weekend, volunteers are needed to time keep. It's so simple you won't even break a sweat (well, except for the odd bit of running you might have to do) and the games are only 40 minutes each. There are nine teams participating. Creighton Northern Physical Activity Week, May 1 to 7 Monday Road Hockey (Grades five to 11) at noon, White Street (between Creighton School basketball courts and Sportex) Tuesday Students vs. Teachers Basketball Challenge, Creighton Community School outdoor basketball courts, noon (Grades 10 and 11) Wednesday Creighton Community School Community Clean-up Challenge (details to be announced) Community Walk, 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome for a walk around the Hearts in Motion Pathway. Participants will meet at the Centennial Building (corner of Main Street and Creighton Avenue) Thursday Obstacle Course at the Sportex Curling Rink at noon (Grades four to nine) Friday Skipping and Hula Hoop Contest. Go in just one or both, noon at Creighton Community School. Participants meet out front by the hopscotch area (Grades one to six) Treasure Walk, 1:00 p.m. Participants meet outside by the basketball courts at Creighton Community School. All kids ages five and under can bring their parents and come along this walk through town collecting special treats (treasure) along the way. HOJA, 7 p.m. at the Creighton Community School gym. Come check out an amazing performance by this a cappella group. There is an admission cost, but children five and under get in free. Monday-Friday Seniors' Walk, 10 a.m. Participants meet at the Creighton Seniors' Drop-in Centre, located on the bottom floor of the Centennial Building (corner of Creighton Avenue and Main Street).
