Rauckman in running to place second in SJHL scores

for points, goals scored

It would take a strong season-ending perfor-mance and a bit of luck, but Flin Flon Bombers winger Chris Rauckman can still finish second in SJHL point scoring.

Melfort’s Travis Mayan has the league scoring title sewn up with 80 points. He’s still got two games left to pad his commanding lead over second-place Owen LaClare of Kindersley.

LaClare has 61 points and two games remaining. Close behind is Rauckman with 58 points and three games left.

Rauckman, 20, is also battling for the SJHL goal-scoring lead. Heading into tonight’s action, he and Mayan are tied with 37 markers apiece.

Before arriving in Flin Flon for the 2014-15 season, Rauckman spent two campaigns with the AJHL’s Drumheller Dragons.
