CBC'S Hockey Night In Canada (HNIC) game one audiences are up 43 per cent from 2003/04 For the third straight week, CBC'S HNIC attracted impressive audiences for both games of the Saturday night doubleheader.Ê An average of 1,344,000 viewers tuned into to watch Toronto host Philadelphia, with audience numbers peaking at an average of 1,579,000.Ê The second game of the twin bill featuring Colorado at Vancouver drew an average of 1,086,000 viewers - marking an 88 per cent increase from the equivalent game in 2003/04 which took place on Oct. 25, 2003 and featured Calgary versus Edmonton. Season-to-date, CBC'S HNIC game one is averaging 1,652,000 viewers, an increase of 43 per cent over the same period in 2003/04 (1,152,000), while game Two is averaging 1,223,000 viewers, an increase of 82 per cent over the same period in 2003/04 (671,000).
