Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Flin Flon is well known for its hockey history and mining, but the CBC Cross Country Fun Hunt is looking for more. The documentary-style show will travel the country to visit small towns and big cities from east to west and north to south. Hosted by Jordan Francis, a recording artist and actor best known for his role in Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, the show is looking for your input. If you want Flin Flon to be a part of the Cross Country Fun Hunt, all you have to do is make a video, or take a picture, of your favourite things to do! Francis told The Reminder in a phone interview it could be hanging out with your friends at your favourite place or anything else you like to do. To get Flin Flon to be a part of the show, make a video or take a picture and upload it to the Cross Country Fun Hunt website. Then ask all your friends to vote for your submission. Born and raised in Toronto, Francis had come off a tour with the Jonas Brothers and was looking for something different. Francis will now travel his home country and see the sights. 'I've never done anything like this,' said Francis. 'I'm excited to be able to interact with the kids.' The contest is already underway and has a number of entries from across Canada _ including three from Manitoba, as of last Thursday afternoon. The show itself is set to start in July. A recording artist, Francis is currently working on the soundtrack for the upcoming show. Francis, along with the rest of Cross Country Fun Hunt crew, will pick the best submissions and visit those communities. 'I haven't been to BC yet or Manitoba, the Yukon, or PEI,' said Francis, who eager to get the project going. 'I'd love to see every spot I can reach.' Those chosen to be a part of the Fun Hunt will be able to spend the day with Francis, in their home town, and do all their favourite things. '...we'll spend the day together and maybe check out a festival or something if there is one on. We'll have some fun in a day-in-the-life type of thing.' The overall winner of the Cross Country Fun Hunt will be the submitter with the most votes. 'The place that gets the most votes on their hometown gets a finale concert,' said Francis, adding that the songs will come from the soundtrack produced for the show. 'I've got some cool friends,' he added, as he came off tour with the Jonas Brothers last year. For your chance to meet and spend the day with Francis, submit a picture or video of your favourite things to do in Flin Flon. It could be sport related, cultural, spending time with friends and family, fishing, or any other fun activity. Check out http://www.cbc.ca/kids/games/funhunt
