The Flin Flon/Creighton Aqua Doves are heading to Winnipeg this weekend for the team's annual synchronized swimming competition. The event, titled The Crocus Challenge, will be held at the Pan Am Pool from April 24 to 25. The Aqua Doves will be competing against other athletes from Winnipeg, Selkirk and Thunder Bay in the figure and synchronized swimming routine events. All 18 Aqua Doves will be competing in a figure event, as well as performing a routine. The following routines will be performed and judged this weekend: Recreational Duets Ashley Petryk and Bronti James Abbey Werbicki and Meghan Oliynyk Jessie Kozar and Tara Whitbread Recreational Team Hannah Lahonen, Jayde Boyd, Tessley Korchinski, Sasha Jebsen, Lindsey Loder and Paige Pomaranski Tier One Duet Kalena Kittle and Sydni Morissette Tier Two Team Taylor Oliynyk, Allie Madarash, Ebony Blouin, Kylee Anderson, and Nikki Madarash The Aqua Doves invite the public to their annual Water Show on May 4. The Water Show will be at the Aqua Centre, where the girls will showcase their synchronized swimming routines that were performed at the Crocus Challenge. We hope to see the public on May 4 supporting our local synchronized swimming team.
