According to the SJHL's Power Rankings, the Flin Flon Bombers are sitting eighth in the league. The Bombers sat last in their division after this past weekend's 4-3 loss to the Nipawin Hawks and now find themselves above the Melfort Mustangs, Notre Dame Hounds, Battlefords North Stars, and the Weyburn Red Wings. Leading the pack are the following teams, according to the SJHL: 1 (3) _ Kindersley Klippers (3-0) The Klippers are off to a roaring start with lots of goals and solid netminding. 2 (7) _ La Ronge Ice Wolves (4-0) What rebuilding plan? The Ice Wolves are getting loads of production. 3 (1) _ Humboldt Broncos (3-1) Another team where rebuilding isn't in the vocabulary. 4 (2) _ Yorkton Terriers (2-2) The champs have been blanked twice in four games. 5 (8) - Estevan Bruins (1-1-1-1) They've coughed up two third period leads at home, but earned points in three of their first four. 6 (11) - Nipawin Hawks (2-2) They are back on course with pair of wins. 7 (10) - Melville Millionaires (3-2) Three wins in their first five games, but the Millionaires have been close enough to win all five. 8 (4) - Flin Flon Bombers (1-2) An uneventful start for a team expected to contend. Not much offense so far. 9 (6) - Melfort Mustangs (2-3) If they could find some goal scorers, they'd be dynamite. 10 (12) - Notre Dame Hounds (1-2) Coach Kevin White is doing a nice job placing added responsibilities on players who maybe weren't expecting them prior to the season. 11 (5) - Battlefords North Stars (1-4) It's not panic time yet, but if they go 1-and-4 in their next five games, it will be panic time. 12 (9) - Weyburn Red Wings (1-3) They've done a nice job keeping pucks out, now they have to put a few more in the other teams' net.
